The branch is establishing a disaster response team. This team is composed of volunteers who will work together a functional unit in the unlikely event a disaster hits the island. This team consist of volunteers trained in the following areas:

• first aid and triage
• medical
• Cooking and outdoor life
• Tent age
• Water and sanitation
• Emergency electrical supplies
• Logistics and communications
• Specialized rescue such a rope and K9
