In August we paid an official visit to the German Red Cross.  We visited the head office in      Germany.  Our vist was coordinated by Dr. M. Mohr who in turn organized a 2 day interesting program for us.  We discussed with our German counterparts different areas of cooperation such as disaster response, European Union Projects, Red Cross services in Germany  etc.  During our stay we also visited the Berlin regional Red Cross Branch.  Besides showing us their premises they also  discussed with us their role in NBCR accidents. (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical and   Radiation accidents).   They have a specialized team which offers medical support to the civil protection department during such incidents.

From Berlin we departed to Köln.  This time our visit was organized by our long friend and      supporter Ms Monika Knepper  - Head of the social department of the Köln Branch.  Here we did a 2 day seminar and on job training with the staff of the Branch.  We learned and saw financial control procedures,  organization structures , emergency services etc.  We would like to thank the branch Director who took all the trouble to host us and to stay with us during the 2 day training  period.
