The Group at Slovenia

The Branch has submitted an application under the youth program to attend an European voluntary service seminar.  I was  to attend this European Voluntary Service seminar.

This E.V.S. programme was held in Slovenia. Apart of showing my activity in the Malta Red Cross, I had to give a representation of Malta and its culture.  They place were we were was very beautiful.  During the day we had      lectures, projects and work besides admiring the country side.    Members from the Council of Europe and        Euro-Med National Coordinators were training and doing the activities with us.

We were being trained how to manage and prepare,     including legal aspects of the EVS projects and how to give the maximum we can to the visiting volunteer.  We also were given vocational training and education how to choose volunteers      appropriate to the projects and where to go.  Our objectives in the study and discussion were integration of youth in society, active              participation of youth, European elements in local level, solidarity fighting against racism and xenophobia, eliminate discrimination and to get together with our diversities and cultures.
