The Malta Red Cross was entrusted by the Ministry of Gozo with the job to erect underwater safety signs around the MV Xlendi wreck which lies at 42m in Xatt l-Ahmar bay in Gozo. The wreck has been a divers’ attraction during its first months she was sunk but nowadays, it tiled to upside down position and represents a danger for any diver who attempts to enter the wreck from various openings on its sides.
The aim of these safety signs is to warn any divers not to enter the wreck. Any dive planned around the wreck is safe.
You can find the report presented to the Ministry of Gozo by Gozo Branch Secretary General Etienne Micallef here.
