On the 24th August 2008, the St Joseph Band Club open up its’ doors for visitors in an open day. This day was characterized by several activities and live acts, including an MRC-GB simulation. The SART team simulated 2 scenarios: a pick-off and an aerial runway used to evacuate trapped persons. Three ambulances were used to simulate a mass casualty MVA. Proper extrication techniques and emergency first aid were given by the ambulance crews. Around 30 volunteers took active part in this simulation.
